Method to remove old oil from compressor for converstion to 134a. 200 1992

This is from the Volvo Service Bulletin for Conversion of A/C system from R12 to R134a "Retrofit".

"To allow simple and inexpensive retrofitting of R12 systems to R134a systems, use "ester oil". This type of oil which is part of a retrofit-kit, has a number of advangages - it mixes well with mineral oils and does not react with material in the O-rings. This means that not all A/C system O-rings have to be replaced."

I've got the Volvo conversion kit from FCPGroton. It has yellow O-rings. I've got a new orifice and a new accumulator plus some pretty new stickers and some fittings.

The Volvo service bulletin does not mention the need to change all O-rings in the entire system.

I do have small hands (perfect for throwing TD passes with a football).

Wish me well Gents!
