M41 Shift Pivot Repair. 120-130

I noticed a little bit of wear in the shift pivot of my M41 (no where near as bad as my M40) and I was thinking that while I have the cover off the transmission I should weld up the area. There is about 1/16" wear and I can weld aluminum fine (voo-doo rattle optional), there isn't much I can do about the brass inner cup (could braze it up I suppose - that's just silly...I think I'll use JB weld for the brass repair), but is it worth trying? Anyone done it? I don't know the sort of alloy, but is the cover weldable?

Craig
