Need to replace rear axle, '84 245ti 200

Hello everybody,

The differential of my car is gone, it has the 4 sp with OD manual transmission. I don't have much information on the different types of rear axles/differemtial installed in 240's. I know that cars with auto trannys have a different ratio than stick shifts. So, my question is: Can I pick up a rear axle from a stick shift car to put in my car, even if the donor car is not a turbo? Thanks a lot for any replies.
