Anyone attached an infant car seat to brackets in rear seatbelt receptacle? (long) 900 1993

In my '93 940 wagon I have anchor plugs on the rear side of the back seat for a (now-obsolete?) rear-attached child seat. The seat I just bought uses either the car's rear shoulder belt or a built-in clip system for under-seat attachment points (which the car doesn't have).

Since I constantly have to put the rear seat up and down for hauling, the seatbelt installation is really burdensome, especially since the belts are self-locking I have to put a special adapter on the belt, essentially re-installing the seat every time; the adapter interferes with the belt retracting whenever you put the rear seat down, so it has to come off. It's already starting to chew up the belt a little bit with use.

However, I've noticed that the middle seatbelt receptacle has a metal bracket incorporated into its design which will take one of the car seat's built-in belt clips. The other receptacles also have this, but the clip from the car seat will not quite fit unless the receptacle retracting spring is removed (this is the part that returns the belt receptacle back to its upright position when you pull the seat back to its locked position - hardly essential).

Has anyone used this or perhaps another system to creatively (and safely)attach a child seat? Obviously, these brackets in the seatbelt receptacles are not designed specifically for this function, but of course they will restrian an adult's body mass in an accident, so an child seat would be adequately restrained, I'd imagine. But there's a lot of built-in doubt with these things when the manufacturer states that the product should be used exactly with the system designed for it. I know this disclaimer is of course mostly for safety reasons - but there's a healthy dose of marketing in there too, to be sure! I'm not going to go out and buy a new car to fix this, so I thought I'd ask for some opinions....
