The rear hatch on my '89 760 wagon will not unlock with the electric locks. I have been through the procedures in the FAQs, taking off the panel and lubeing everything and it works for awhile. Lately, "for awhile" is less and less time.

The key has never worked in the lock since I bought the car 4 years ago. As long as the electric lock works it is no problem. If I can get the key to work in the lock, I can just unlock it manually. Is there something I can soak the lock mechanism in to free it up, then lubricate it?

Otherwise, I need to try to locate a key and lock assembly that works.

All help is greatly appreciated.
