Swedish Brick? 200 1991

I recently bought a 91 240. The owner told me he thought this car was bought in Sweden originally and driven there a while before coming to the states. Would this car have any differences. All the writing is in English, but a couple of things have me wondering.

First, the ride is much stiffer than any other 240 I have had. It may be that someone put in some performance shocks, and I have not taken a good look to find out.

Second, the dash has what appears to be real wood trim in a strip across the front. I have not had a 91 before, but this type trim is new to me.

Anyone have knowledge of this?
