Leaking Schrader valve

My mechanic is very good, and today reported that he could not fix the refrigerant leak in my A/C because the low-pressure Schrader valve is leaking, and his tool for that doesn't work on that valve. He also checked with the local Snap-On guy with no luck. He then speculated that this requires a special tool that only Volvo has access to.

The closest dealers are 100 and 200 miles away.

I hope that some of you Volvo geniuses can shed some light on this.

He recharged it, but probably won't last for long.

Thanks,

Steve
