1989 240 computer problem 200

I have a 1989 240DL wagon. 250K miles. It recently died I think atfer many years of good service. It cranks but will not start. I told my mechanic to spend an hour on it but after a 3 hour investigation he thinks it my computer. He wants $800 plus to install new computer. I had it towed home. I pulled what I think is the computer (Bosch#0280000561). Although there is another smaller box under the dash (Bosch 0227400146).
My question is which is the computer and where is the cheapest place to obtain one. What other model Volvo's utilize this part? Maybe I can find a dead car and pull it.
Thanks for any help.
Horn
