Alignment Again 140-160 1971

I really don't think you want to use typical ITB alignment settings on a car that is primarily used on the street. This is essentially due to the somewhat extreme (from a street perspective) negative camber settings that are typically used on "pure" race cars. I run -3.25 degrees camber on my ITB car, and I'm sure this is fairly typical. I would be amazed if any ITB guys are running less than 2 1/2 degrees or so, and there are probably some racers out there using even more negative settings than I. The point is, any of these numbers will be totally unsuitable for the street, regardless of tire size, especially if tire wear is any consideration at all.

If your car were mine, I would start with something on the order of 1/2 degree negative camber, a couple of degrees positive caster, and just enough toe-in to say you have some... 1/32nd to 1/16th inch total. Incidentally, more positive caster is better, as it begats negative camber while turning - without the tire wear penalty. But of course, there is a tradeoff... at some point, more positive caster will cause the steering effort required at low speeds to become uncomfortable. And BTW, even at the fairly conservative camber number above, you will still need to watch the tire wear; you may have to rotate tires more often to keep the wear evened out.
