960 to 940 radio/cd swap.

Hi all.
while at the boneyard today i pulled a radio/cd/cassett from a 97 960 and i was wondering if it will fit in my daughters 94 940? = (no cd)
yes then there is the situation with the radio code?
if the radio will swap into the 940 i think i can get the codes, as a friend told me to install the radio if it fits and drive to volvo dealer and they may help me out as radio swaps do happen. (and a junkyard reciept)
its probably a long shot but the setup costs 10.00$
