Want to get BB'ers take on what I should with my car 200 1990

It's decision time, BB'ers.

1990 244 270K. Body and interior good. Runs well. However, the needed mechanical work is piling up so I'm beginning to think that it is:

1. Time to move on (urghhh - sell it) or
2. Temporary retirement in the yard and fix her up as time and money permits.

I have 2 jobs now and I simply don't have the time to fix it up at the moment. I also have gotten the newer car itch and will be looking at a 1997 850 ( I know - sacrilege!!) this weekend.

I think I know your take, but I still want to hear what you have to say, guys....
