I would use on of the heavy duty fleet oils in 15W-40 grade. The most popular/available good brands include Chevron Delo, Shell Rotella, Pennzoil Long-Life, Castrol Tecton & Mobil Delvac.

Many people make the mistake of calling these "diesel oils", but they are dual rated for both diesel and gasoline engines. They include higher levels of certain lubrication additives which are good for flat tappet cam designs of old.
