climate control vaacum 700 1990

We have a l990 760 turbo wagon. We are having the following problem. Whenever you press on the accelerator to increase or maintain speed the climate control stops until pressure on the accelerator is released. The fan in the air system stops turning at all. Hose clamps are on all vaacum hoses and there are no apparent cracks in any of the hoses. The electrical service procedure as outlines in the service manual were followed and there are no faults showing in the climate control.
Has anyone had this experience? Any idea what to check or how to check?

Thanks

Dave
