1989 760 Turbo, AC/blower fuse keeps blowing 700 1989

My 1989 760 Turbo keeps blowing the AC/Blower motor fuse. The AC and blower have been working great until recently when it blew the fuse. Repeated attemps to replace the fuse have resulted in the the fuse quickly blowing again and again. If I only turn on the blower motor the fuse does not blow, it is only after I turn on the AC that the fuse blows. It also seems that the fuse does not blow if I leave the fan on speed 1 or 2 with the AC on. Cold air blows out and everything seems to work fine until I turn the fan to 3 or higher. Any insight on a solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Patrick
