Im missing something... 200 1989

Hello all and thanks for the help with my starter problem. I have replaced the starter and it is doing its job bur I have a new problem. I replaced the wires exactly like they were on the old starter but she would not start on her own. By playing with the sterter I connected a terminal to the power line comming off the battery and the starter srarted turning. The Yellow and blue wire is in its origional place and I dont want to move it until I know that if I put it on that other terminal that I will have no problems. Once I get that solved I will move on to other issues that my Baby Brick has. Im waiting for the rain to pass so I can take a pic of the starter terminals.

Thanks
