here's my latest issue for my 72 142. My fuel sender has now started working very strange. I get a fuel level reading for fuel as long as I have more than 3/4 of a tank. After looking at the sender unit I discovered that the super fine wire that wraps around the brown panel that the float makes contact with is broken in a number of pieces. I would like to replace only the small brown panel with the wire. Does anybody have an old fuel sender unit that maybe is broken in another manner that would part with the panel or the whole unit if they don't want to hassel with removing the panel. Can you buy just the panel?
