Engine/AT combos for 122S 120-130

You make some excellent points, Craig, starting with the probability of completion being inversely proportional to the ambitiousness of the undertaking. I’m becoming convinced (another matter convincing my son perhaps) that a warmed up B20, mated to a AW70/71, would be perfectly adequate. I believe Ben Flierman has just such a project underway (or maybe completed, if such a state is every reached). I will search the archives for past posts on your B20 head work and other aspects of your project, Craig.

And so the more detailed questions start. Does the AW70/71 mate straight up to the B20? What flexplate and torque convertor would one use? How about shift control linkages and convertor lockup control (no computers please)? Suitable donor vehicles available in Canada?

Thanks,

Barry
