960 steering light and vague on fast turns... 900 1994

I've been having this problem with my '94 964 since I bought it in December. First off, the front end of the car is tight (a new inner tierod and ball joint), it was just aligned this morning (2nd time), I changed the PS fluid to Mobil 1 ATF a while back, and currently it's wearing Hydras (16") with some sticky Kumhos on them. The car handles farely well, but I find that the steering is very vague on center during faster turns. My V90 feels much more confident, but it's suspension is quite different. The 960 is almost numb in that situation although everything in the front appears to be tight (geez, the car only has 90K mi!). I'm just wondering if the Mobil 1 ATF might be making the PS line pressure too high or something wierd like that. Anyway, any suggestions are welcome!
