OBD Code: O2 sensor. Could it be caused by bad front muffler?? 900 1991

1991 940 Turbo w/ 162k miles. Picked up the "check engine" light. I read the code and it as 2-1-2 which is O2 sensor signal absent or faulty. Where is the O2 sensor located? I'm hoping that because the front muffler is pretty ragged out ...that this could be the reason for the O2 sensor code. But..I don't know enough about where the sensor is and how the muffler would affect it to make a call.

Anyone else had a bad front muffler on a 940T?

And another related question....I have two brand new mufflers (front and back) from a 240....will either of these work on the front muffler for the 940T?

Thanks,
Cabbie2169
