No Start 200 1987

There are only two things that will keep it from firing; either no gas or no spark. Do you have 12 volts at the coil wire when the car is being cranked? If not run a jumper from the battery positive to the coil and see if it starts then. I just replace the ignition switch on a 240 for the same symptoms. Do the spark plugs have a gas smell? If they don't then you are not getting fuel. Get into your haynes manual and jumper the fuses (I can't remember which off hand)that it takes to run the pump with the key on.
