Wheel Backspacing - Wider Wheels 120-130

Hello All,

I'm right in the middle of widening a set of wheels for the Canuck and have a couple of questions. I got the rims off of my donor Chev truck wheels and the centres out of my spare Volvo wheels. Once cleaned up, the centres of the Volvo wheels have to be pursuaded with a 3 lb hammer to go into the donor wheels (very satisfying after all the work of separating the wheels) - and are true. I was double checking my offset measurements and it turns out that I am going to have a little more positive offset than original (about 5/16" so there is 1 5/16" more of the wheel to the rear of the wheel centre line), I could sneek that back to about 1/4" (this is about 6 mm). I'm no wheel expert, but am I right in thinking that this is no big deal?

Thoughts?

Craig
