Small Clock 200

I picked a small clock up at a boneyard the other day and fitted its harness to the back of my recently installed cluster with big tach. The wires I hooked up from the car to the cluster were the crecent plug, the circular plug, the red white striped wire to the tach, and the red/yellow wire to the right cluster corner. The clock wouldn't run but the light would come on. I figured it was fried so I picked up another one. Same problem with the clock not running but the light coming on. Is there something I gotta do to give it power, or am I just having bad luck at the 'yard?

Thanks
Jon
