Hitch Power Wire Routing How To Get There 900

I have two questiong:

First, I am installing hitch wiring on a 95 960 sedan, and am unclear how to go from the trunk to the battery for the power. One pleace suggested going out the spare tire holes, and using tie straps to the bottom of the car, but I worry about exposure, crimping on mechanics, and getting caught on something.

How could I run it totally internally? I can see the wiring bundle going throught the firewall on pass side, but I am not sure where it goes, or how I would route it from the cabin to the trunk.

Second, I am not sure which wire from the tail light coupling controls what ie left turn, brake etc. Each tail light has a centralised coupling, but I'm not sure which wire is for what to pair to the wiring harness.

I'm stuck Guys!
