L.E.D. bulbs for front signals or rear taillights 200 1989

I was browsing Ebay and happened upon LED light bulbs. I believe the front corner lights are 1157, and there are different bulb numbers for different bulb sockets. Anyone have them on his or her 240? Do LED lights interfere, disrupt, or confuse the cars electrical lighting system? Do they last longer? I hear they are brighter. I'm a bit interested in ridding the orange reflecter in the corner lights and using an amber LED bulb (which is clear when in OFF mode).

Also, I'm tinkering with the idea of buying one of those aftermarket mirror "arrow" LED lights you stick on your sideview mirrors. The only drawback is the thickness of these arrow LEDS; on average they are 0.25". I prefer something more low profile that blends in with the mirror. I dunno, still thinking of other means to make directional mirrors other than the arrow LEDs.
