122/B20 in 1968? 120-130

I just returned from the local pick n pull where I ran across a 1968 122S that must have been a recent arrival. I'm pretty sure it's a '68 based on its chassis # 303521, which puts it ~3/4 of the way through the 1968 model year. The engine however is a B20. The part number of the engine is 4969 12, where the 1st 4 digits are cast into the block and the last 2 are stamped behind the 1st four. The engine serial number, which I believe is stamped further back on the block, is 15563.
All the data I've seen says that the 122 didn't get the B20 until 1969. If that's the case, then this is a more recent swap. Can anyone tell me something about this engine? BTW the carbs are missing but from the linkages, etc. it would appear they were SUs.
