240 interior/exterior panels

I'm very new to Volvos, so I'm sure this has been asked before:

1. Is the sheetmetal for the door, hood, trunk, etc. mostly the same for all 85-93 240 series? What about the 740 series? Specificly, I have an opportunity to pick up an 88 740GLE wagon for parts. I'd like to replace most of the fading/damaged sheetmetal on my 85 240DL wagon. Since I haven't every touched a 700 series, just how different is the exterior?

2. Same question with the interior. Could I use a dash from a later model 240 series to replace my cracked 85 dash? What about door panels, seats, etc?
