Quick question on turning a flywheel 200 1988

I have a flywheel with a broken tooth somewhere on it, so if the starter tries to turn the wheel on that tooth... to say the least, there is an awful noise. So, for short term fixes, b/c I at least need to drive the car to someone who can replace this.. [I don't want to drop the transmission.] If the car won't start, [obviously, chances are that it will] I know there is a way to just get the flywheel to turn past that tooth, then I will be able to start the car as normal. So, any help would be appreciated. :) Thanks.
