Brake fluid leak onto carpet 200 1981

I have a fair amount of brake fluid leaking onto the carpet under the brake pedal. There is enough that the carpet is soaked, and fluid drips out of the drain hole in the rocker panel under the driver's door. Is my master cylinder leaking into the brake booster, and then getting in through the pushrod to the pedal. I seem to remember reading about this problem on the board before, but couldn't find it via the search function.
