Turning Off Headlights On 95' 940 900 1995

It seems 1995 was the year Volvo decided headlights on all the time was the thing to do. It probably is a safe thing to do, but I would like to change mine to the old style system where I control when they are on. I have two old parts 740s (87, 90). Would the only change needed be the headlight switch and would one from the 87 or 90 work?
