1982 242 LH-jetronic Idle Control Valve Troubleshooting 200 1982

1982 Volvo 242 GLT, B21 with Chrysler Ignition, EFI LH Jetronic FI

While driving to the bank today at lunch, I was making a turn and clutch in, off the gas, the car died. It will restart only with the gas pedal pushed in. So, for now I just adjusted the throttle cable to keep it open enough to run at about 1500 rpm.

I think it is reasonable to assume this is the idle control valve, correct? The car drives the same with it plugged in or not.

I consulted the FAQ but am not sure if it applied to my early 240 EFI unit.

1) How do I test that the idle control valve plug (three terminal) is supplying juice? which lead is it?
2) What model LH jetronic did they use in '82? 2.2? 2.4?

Thanks in advance! Jim
