Looks like you'll need the "Anchorage for clutch pedal axel (main shaft ) B18 inner" as the Vintage Import Parts catalog lists it. Part 662222, which should work with your B18/M40 544. VP Autoparts also lists it in their US price list as "Anchorage cross shaft clutch" for the same price.

I'm in the process of doing something similar (B18/M40 into a 445) and am missing the same part. Are you planning to reuse the earlier bell housing? I don't know if the later one has the holes for the "anchorage".
