To Believe or not believe: Dipstick level S90-V90

One quart is .946 litres. A fill of oil as the manual suggests would not bring the level to the top. They would leave some room for expansion due to temperature change. If cold oil enters a hot enigne, as is usuallty the case the oil will expand as it absorbs the heat in the engine. Also they like to have some room left in case someone puts a little too much in. The difference between the top and the bottom of the dipstick is about one quart, I beleive the owners manual states one litre, which is slightly more than one quart.
So it makes sense that when they state capacity they give the amount to take the dipstick level to about the middle.
