93 940 wagon AC hose 900

We have two 5 series (both 95) and three SAAB 9000's (2 94 and a 95) in the house and a Volvo 940 wagon. Three college aged kids all drive. The 940 is the ugly duckling in the house. My younger son who's going to college this year gets it. The 940 rarely gets any attention. Partly because it needs none. With an aging fleet in the household I fix it only the driver told me there is something wrong with the car. Over the years the 940 never complained and just keeps ticking. Well some times I didn't get a feed back so I just ignored it. I change oil every 10,000 miles with Mobile 1 and flush the transmission oil every 20,000 miles. That's about it.

One time it has been running with a broken thermostat for a long time. During the heating season the driver gets no heat prompted me to find the cause and revealed the broken thermostat.

There have been a few more occasions it ran with an empty expansion tank because of a slow leak in the water pump. I eventually fixed the water pump with Bar's Leak. As long as it keeps running, it will continue to be ignored. We are all so busy.

Enough of the irrelevant stuff. Let me get to the point. It has been stiflingly hot in New Jersey. The 940 is the only car in the household the AC is not working. So I thought I look at it this morning. Measured the perssure through the low pressure port. There is none. So I cranked up the AC and started charging it with a 12 oz can of r134a. The AC compressor started kicking in by the end of the first charge. The cabin is getting cool. So I fed one more can. Shut the engine and started to walk away.

But there is a hiss. Opened the hood again to look. The hiss is near the compressor. Looking closely, it is from the low pressure hose coming across the engine from under.

Where can I get one?
