Exhaust installation newbie 200 1984

I always assumed that you needed a torch and welder to remove and install exhaust parts. But after reading the FAQs here and the info in the Bentley manual, it seems like even I could fix it.

My front muffler needs to be replaced soon. How easy is it really? Is it a matter of unscrewing (or cutting off) the old clamps, yanking out the old muffler and inserting the new muffler and clamps? Any tips for a newbie?

FCP seems to have the best price for a Starla / Bosal muffler, yes?
