Pulling a stuck M41 for pilot bearing replacement 140-160

Good Day All,
Well, I've got my clutch kit on order and my car jacked up out on my 100 degree asphalt street in front of my house.
I am attempting to slide my M41 out of the clutch housing and it is stuck. It came out easily only about 1 1/2 inches. The shaft will rotate.
I am replacing my pilot bearing.
What is causing the jam? Maybe the clutch release bearing? or the pilot bearing getting stuck on the clutch release bearing?
Any ideas on how to extract the M41 shaft out of the clutch housing? My car is rather securly jacked, but I do not want to rock it too hard. I thought about brute force with a lever inbetween the clutch housing and the front seal housing. Is the front trans. seal housing fragile? How about an air hammer on the OD connector flange in back of the OD.
Or can I unbolt the clutch housing?.
I am sure this has happened before to someone out there. Now I am taking a break from the heat and hoping for help from my forum friends.
