Hi Poorgie,

Rather than replace them you may have success cleaning and retensioning the contacts. The nylon housing opens for access. Once you try this you will know what sort of job actually replacing the plug would be.

More likely troubles are the result of moisture, first making the electrical contact poor and therefore hot, then melting the plastic that backs up the flex board under the plug contacts, and under the lamp socket contacts. The contact spring tension aids the deformation of the plastic. Just look at them very carefully, or prop the pedal down and probe with your test light or meter for the bad spots. Sorry to say, but many cases lead to replacement of the entire tail lamp assembly.
