Thanks for your advise. I will plan to get research info on how to dismantle and put in new seals, etc. and hopefully put it back in w/o having any parts left over. I'll try to adjust the play also. Another Volvo owner said to check the rest of the suspension as long as I've got the box out. More research, looks like fun! Looking forward to gain additional knowledge from fellow 1800 lovers.
