Door Open Alarm... 200

Bricksters,

I searched the archives and the 700 FAQ - no luck.

Problem: the car behaves as if one of the doors is open. Dome light stays on, and the 'open door' alarm is chiming.

Background: This is a '93 245 that I just bought yesterday. It did not have this problem when I test drove it.

I pulled each of the door switches and disconnected them one by one (with all the other doors shut, including the tailgate). It does not appear to be a fauly door switch. I have never seen one of these switches fail in the grounded position, but it was worth a shot.

The PO did just have the starter switch replaced by a reputable shop. Clearly the starter switch is involved with this circuit.

Any common failure points that I should consider? Thanks!

-Josh
