Engine options for a 780, and what to replace a dead B280 with. 700

I looked at the site you mentioned and it's excellent. When i plugged in the 230FT it asks about w or w/o sensor hole. Which should i be looking for? I realized my volvo ignorance when i discovered that the 230 wasnt another V6 (doh!) it was in fact the motor i had been thinking about swapping in (duh!).

Some more specific questions about swapping in an FT.
1)will the tranny HAVE to go? If so this i'm sure will drive the $$ up, trying to avoid that if i can, need wheels ASAP.

2)IF properly chosen what electrical work will have to be done? Trying to avoid any major issues, IF i swap i'd prefer as plug and play as possible. Another forum discussed this and there was some debate as to if the ECU HAD to be replaced or not.

3) Since hauling in a donor car isnt really an option (neighbors already cranky at one dead Volvo) what parts would i need to get. Being as specific as possible would be great if anyone has experience in this.

4) With or without the sensor hole?

Thanks YET again,
Jesse Erickson
