is it OK and safe to apply RTV Silicone on tranny pan bolts? 200

Seems I got some seepage of ATF from the rear three tranny pan bolts. I've noticed that they come loose a bit after a while. I've tried making my own rubber gaskets. That sort of work but now I ran out of thin rubber to make these gaskets. Also, they are kind of a pain to put on in that I have to be careful I don't deform them when I torque the bolt. Otherwise they become less effective. I've also tried making paper gaskets. I've since took these out and have just resorted to wiping the area where the bolts are (recess area to allow a rachet to reach the bolt) and do some minor tightening if need be.

I'm wondering if I can apply Permetex RTV clear silicone on the bolts and tighten the them onto the tranny pan. I just don't want any foreign material to pollute the ATF, though I guess RTV can't really seep into the tranny and mix with the ATF.
