Overheating & Loss of Radiator Fluid after Radiator Cap change 900 1993

Hi, I have 1993 Volvo 940 Turbo Sedan which I just purchased a month ago, which had a Grey colored radiator cap(150kp) and was experiencing a moderate loss of radiator fluid. I could not really tell where I was losing the radiator fluid because there is no pool of fluid under the car after driving it.

I decided to change the radiator cap to one with a lower pressure(black cap 75kP). The next day after driving it for an hour it started to overheat(the indicator was in the red zone). I immediately stopped at a gas station, opened the cap only find the reservoir empty and I filled it with water which solved the problem temporily and the engine returned to normal temperature as I drove home.

Today I drove again an hour to school and parked the car. When I came back to the car there was an enormous amount of fluid that had come out of the car and was on the pavement. It appears to have squirted out of the reservoir tank and it was totally empty. I brought water with just incase this happened again.

I have check the engine oil and there appears to be no water or radiator fluid in the oil.

I have placed the old grey radiator cap back on, and I don't really know what to do to solve this problem.
