Intermittent Starting Problem: '93 240 Sedan

Our '93 240 with only 96k miles has had an intermittent starting problem for the past several weeks. The battery is fine and fully charged. The dash instrument lights come on when the key is in position II however, on occasion, when the key is turned to start, nothing happens. This occurs only intermittently as the car starts often. The starter motor appears to be fine as well as the starter solenoid. We suspect a possible starter switch problem. Has anyone experienced this? What have you found?

Thanks for your insight!!!
