aw70 shifter linkage

Hi Rob,

Your words making a distinction between the detents in the tranny and the selector button lockout function should be a big help diagnosing this one, perhaps saving him from having to disconnect the linkage to isolate the two motions.

I was wondering why I hadn't read more about that rivet failure, especially how it can leave someone quite stranded. That piece of linkage is on my yard list now.

By the way, I found the post from Ken C. expressing the desire to disable the shift lock permanently, and I saw your post describing a means to do so - maybe you can help with this, with your shifter box experience: http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/index.htm?id=1085969

I've never been inside a 93's.

Be thankful for problems. If they were less difficult, someone with less ability might have your job.
