boost + black smoke = no power 700

so i just bought an 89' 740t all was fine ultil a couple days ago when the car got into the yellow and the turbo started boosting. The car didn't have any power, it seemed to be stuck around 4 - 4.5 rpms and couldn't move past that. The car had surging power ,or lack there of, and wouldn't accelerate. A ton of black smoke came from the exhaust pipe.

I was wondering if anybody has ever experienced this before or if anyone has any suggestions/helpful advice.

Thanks in Advance,

brant
