87 to 92 engine swap 200

I am about to swap a '92 engine into my '87 sedan. I have a few questions regarding the engine sensors. I am using the '87 wiring harness (non crumble type) and computer as well as the exhaust manifold and oxy sensor. The water temp and knock sensors are different for the two years, and I would like to use the newer versions on my engine. Is the water temp sensor set up for a different temperature for each engine? I think the harness connection is the same. As for the knock sensor, the newer version has two prongs, the '87 has one. Any ideas what the connection would be? The Idle air control valve has two different part numbers, but appears the same physically and again, I would like to use the newer one if possible. Any of you gurus out there have any info for me? Thanks!
