My wife called me the other day stating that the ac didn't work and I narrowed it down to the blower not functioning. So I checked the fuse and it was blown and replaced to find that it blew again. I then looked at the equipment listed for that circuit and began to look at the MAJOR components. I started with the blower motor since it had been replaced a few year ago and found burning at the plug. I then cut and placed new terminals on those wires and accidently touched ground with one wire and the blower motor worked, so I knew there wasn't a short at the motor. But why was it still hot when the ignition was off? I sat back and read the fuse cover again to see what was on that circuit besides the ecc and saw the lighter was included. I looked at the lighter plug which is open since I use a radar detector on occasion and I FAILED to replace it and I found a penny wedged into place. I asked my wife who was playing in the front seats the other day and she stated that our 2 year old boy was there while she installed the child seat. I removed the penny and installed a new fuse and all is well. It just goes to show you that even little boys like to stuff things in holes. LOL.
