egr sensor values -- I took it out and need to fool computer 900

Hello,
I put a 240 engine (no smog) into my '94 940 n/a which had smog control so I ripped out and plugged all the smog control stuff. Now, of course, I get an engine code of 4-1-3, EGR sensor missing. Can I jumper the two pronged sensor w/ a reistor to fool the computer into thinking its getting a good value so that the check engine light won't be on? If so, what value resistor. If not, what else can I do?

Thanks a lot everyone. This project is almost over!
