960 or 940 Turbo??? Or just wait???

I'm still looking... Have my eye on a 1997 960 wagon with 124000. Private owner. Oil changes and pretty well maintained. Would change timing belt, tensioner and water pump.
Another consideration is a 1994 940 Turbo Wagon 106000 miles. Dealer. Gets up and goes. Worn in places inside.
Tried to find a 240 or 940 n/a wagon but unable to find anything.
Anyway, do I stay away from the Turbo and take on the 960 or go 940 Turbo and forgo the perks of the 960?
OR do I hold out for a 940 n/a?
Have reservations about both and had been dead set against the Turbo as advised by mechanics and many Brickboarders but do find Turbo fans out there that swear by them.
960 ride is nice and power is plenty. Costs and complications of self repair have me wondering.
Any thoughts?
Thankfully yours,
Enjoy the ride,
MikeQ
