Front Rotor Wheel Stud Replacement-ABS 200 1993

Just replaced the front pads on my wagon and found in removing the wheel that two studs are stripped on the left wheel from a previous tire installation (I am beginning to dislike air tools). I have read the archived information on this process but just to be sure I am thinking clearly here are my questions:
1. Do I remove the rotor to begin the process of removing the old stud.
2. Do I have to modify the old stud to remove past the ABS equipment? I haven't looked to see what that is yet.
3. How is the best way to install the new stud? Will I have to grind as mentioned in other posts?
4. What size is the stud and where is the best place to purchase or should I hit the junk yard?
Thanks for any information you can provide. This forum has been invaluable in getting my car back into like new condition.
