Smith tach install 120-130

Well, you cannot use your 'feed wire' only. The tacho must be connected, white wires, to both coil and distributor (spell?) in order to work. If it does not react you switch the wires around. The tacho works on the impulses that gets sent to the distributor form the coil, that is why it need to be in the right feed direction. If it still does not work, try to hook it up to another car and see, it might be bad. Note the white wires replace the wire between the coil and distributor.
